Aleppo – Sound and Picture
Last night, IS took over several points inside Kuweyres military airport in Regime controlled areas in Aleppo eastern countryside.
“Sound and Picture” reporter in Aleppo countryside, said: “Yesterday morning, IS attacked Kuweyres military airport west of Deir Haffer in the eastern countryside of Aleppo. The attack started with blasting three car bombs driven by three of its undercover members inside the regime officers’ housing units followed by artillery shooting and rocket shelling that enabled IS to take control of several buildings inside the airport. “
Our reporter also said: “The regime forces which were located inside Tel Eran in the eastern countryside of Aleppo, tried to advance towards IS controlled Kabara and Blat villages in an attempt to lessen the pressure on its forces inside Kuweyres military airport that has been besieged for 2 years”
IS progress in Kuweyres Airport offsets a relative decline in Um Hosh front north of Aleppo countryside, which witnesses clashes between the IS and the armed opposition forces.
A military source said to our reporter: “the opposition forces participating in the operations room of Aleppo and Osoud Alsharqia (The lions of the eastern area), regained the control on the bulk of farms located west of Um Hosh town along with other points within the town dominated by IS earlier.”
the opposition forces’ progress in the farms block came after long clashes that left several casualties and injuries from both sides, mostly among IS fighters.
It is worth mentioning that some IS members clashed with members from Al-Shamia Front in Mare’e last night leading to the killing of 20 members from Al-Shamia Front while 3 of IS fighters wearing explosive belts blasted themselves in different gathering points of Al-Shamia Front.
