Deir Ezzor – Sound and Picture
Since the beginning of regime’s areas siege, “Sound and Picture” has documented more than 20 cases of murder by IS snipers, including women from western countryside of Deir Ezzor, under pretext of smuggling food to besieged Al-Qosour and Al-Jura neighborhoods west of Deir Ezzor.
“Sound and Picture” reporter in western countryside of Deir Ezzor, said: “IS spread a number of snipers in the outskirts of Euphrates River, Hussienieh , Al-Gnena, Al-Sfire and Al-Mhemdia villages and other areas of Deir Ezzor western countryside to prevent people from smuggling food to Al-Jura neighborhood, where snipers are targeting all who pass at the river edge of “Al-Jazeera line” side.
Our reporter also said: “IS still held a number of western countryside residents who had been arrested previously for smuggling people out of regime control areas to IS’s , and also for smuggling food to the besieged Al-Jura neighborhood, and their fate is still unknown.
The reporter added that: ” IS put three women of Khansa battalion on its first checkpoint for the women coming out of the besieged areas inspecting, as well as putting a black sticker over women’s personal identity picture in order not to seen by Al-Hosba device members during interrogation in Ma’dan city in the eastern countryside of Raqqa.
In the same context, the regime forces responded to IS siege by preventing men and young men under the age of 40 to move out of the besieged areas, while allowing some families to leave, either after getting a security approval from Mohammed Kaddour “the commander of the Deir Ezzor operations”, or after paying up to 150000 SP for each person to regime checkpoints.
