Aleppo – Sound and Picture
Informed sources from Al-Qaida denied to “Sound and Picture” the news reported by media about the withdrawal of JAN from their positions in the northern countryside of Aleppo near the Turkish border of Howar Kilis area.
As it has been circulated in a number of news websites; JAN withdrew from its positions and evacuated its headquarters in the northern countryside of Aleppo as a part of the plan to establishing a safe zone on the Turkish border.
Al-Qaida source said to “Sound and Picture”: “There was an agreement held between JAN and Al-Shamia front in which Al-Shamia front took over several JAN’s positions in Al-Zahraa neighborhood in Aleppo, while on the other hand, JAN took over other three of Al-Shamia front positions in Aleppo northern countryside. ”
Both fronts JAN and Al-Shamia has a number of fronts against IS in Aleppo northern countryside, while IS has been trying for four months to achieve a progress in the northern countryside of Aleppo towards Bab Al-Salama border gate which is considered the lifeline that connects Aleppo with Turkey.
In the same context, the Syrian opposition forces have been also trying to make a progress in the areas west of Aleppo as they has succeeded – earlier in April- in taking control over regime Intelligence building, in an attempt to cut off supply routes from regime forces in Aleppo.
