US-backed SDF have been trying to controll of Raqqa from the ISIS since June 6 under the cover of airstrikes by the US-led coalition.
At least 130 civilians have been killed over the past 3 days in ALBADO avenue by US-led air attacks.
The civilians trying to get away from the clashes lines betwen ISIS and SDF, so there are buildings full of civilians.
Dozens of civilians have been klilled when coaltion warplanes target that buildings and neighbourhoods under control ISIS that are densely packed with civilians.
A spokesperson for CENTCOM told The Independent: “The Coalition takes all allegations of civilian casualties seriously and assesses all credible allegations of possible civilian casualties. Coalition forces work diligently and deliberately to be precise in our airstrikes. “Coalition forces comply with the law of armed conflict and take all reasonable precautions during the planning and execution of airstrikes to reduce the risk of harm to civilians.”
They added: “The Coalition respects human life and is assisting partner forces in their effort to liberate their land from Isis while safeguarding civilians. Our goal is always for zero civilian casualties.”
U.N. spokesman Stephane Dujarric said humanitarian staff in Syria are “deeply concerned by unconfirmed reports of a high number of civilians killed by airstrikes in Raqqa City over the last 24 hours.”
“These attacks, if confirmed, are a shocking reminder that civilians continue to bear the brunt of the conflict in many parts of Syria,” he added.
“In recent days and weeks, scores of civilians have been killed and injured in Raqqa due to airstrikes and shelling, and up to 25,000 people remain trapped in the city,” he said.
